Well, that's a long story... In ~1995 me and my friend start working on an operating system called TAB-DOS Alphasystem. The TAB stands for Tiger and BUZZ, our nick names at this time. The os was just a rewrite of the pts-dos source code and it was a mess, so we abandon this project. In 1999 i joined to Ville Tujanmaa to work on his os called FloppyOS, but soon he started a new project called MenuetOS, which is still alive. His aim is to create a os, which completely based upon assembler, but this is not in my way having control over an os. So i tried it alone again, and starts working on TAB-DOS Alphasystem again, and while surfing through the net i found an os called AladinOS, which have been written in nearly the same style i prefer, and out ways where nearly the same. So i contacted Ingo Pansa about joining, and he commited. Till this point it is called, Tabos.

Why does my computer locks up with 0.2pre1?

Mainly because of the big bug in memory management, but this is now being rewritten and will change soon.

Why does my mouse does not work?

Maybe it does not use the standard mouse protocol. We know that there are other protocols around there, but first we wonna have a working operating system, before writing drivers for not so high privileged hardware stuff. Please wait for version ~0.5. |

Under which license is/will Tabos being distributed?

Tabos stands under the GPL License, Version 2. For detailed information about what is allowed and what not, read the GPL file in the documentation directory or surf to www.gnu.org
